As part of the Kildare-Meath Grid upgrade project, EirGrid have created a Community Benefit Fund which will be available to support community projects along the upgrade route.
The route travels near Clane and a workshop is being held in November to explain what funding will be available to the community and the types of projects that can be proposed.
The workshop will be held in Clane Project Centre’s Nexus office on the Prosperous Road (beside Allcare / Hughes Pharmacy) at 7pm on Tuesday November 25th 2025.
All welcome!
For those interested, Eirgrid also welcome feedback and contributions via an online survey, which can be accessed here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VJFFVM8. This survey will remain open until 17th Dec 2025.

Public meeting in The Abbey Community Centre at 8pm on Thursday October 19th.
The Text Alert initiative is organised by Muintir na Tire, and supported by an Garda Siochana, and has been highly successful in combatting crime and in such other ways as finding missing persons, missing animals, and saving health and lives of vulnerable members of the communities. The effectiveness of Text Alert has proven to discourage undesirable activity and communities feel safer in their homes.
