The 41st AGM of Clane Community Council will be held in the Abbey at 8pm this coming Monday January 19th.
The vision of the Community Council is to achieve a shared sense of place, purpose and community in Clane.Highlights of 2014 include
- professionally stabilising the Friary walls, allowing the fencing to be removed
- delivering the new Heritage and Information signage
- organising free Heritage Week, Culture Night and Christmas Light-up events
- running Clane & Rathcoffey Community Games
- transitioning Le Chéile to online publication
- presenting Frida Lowry with the Claonadh Award in appreciation of her valuable contributions to our community
- receiving the Bronze medal in the National Tidy Towns competition – Clane’s first medal in over 40 years of participation.
