AGM of Clane Community Council

The 41st AGM of Clane Community Council will be held in the Abbey at 8pm this coming Monday January 19th.

The vision of the Community Council is to achieve a shared sense of place, purpose and community in Clane.Highlights of 2014 include

  • professionally stabilising the Friary walls, allowing the fencing to be removed
  • delivering the new Heritage and Information signage
  • organising free Heritage Week, Culture Night and Christmas Light-up events
  • running Clane & Rathcoffey Community Games
  • transitioning Le Chéile to online publication
  • presenting Frida Lowry with the Claonadh Award in appreciation of her valuable contributions to our community
  • receiving the Bronze medal in the National Tidy Towns competition – Clane’s first medal in over 40 years of participation.
