Clane has been awarded its second Gold Medal in the National Tidy Towns competition!
Members of the Tidy Towns committee were delighted to hear the wonderful news at a ceremony in Croke Park on Friday October 24th. The actual Gold Medal will be presented to us in the coming months. In the meantime, our first gold medal (and silver, and bronze) can be seen in the Parish Shop window on Main Street.
Tidy Towns is much more than about tidiness, and it requires generous support from individuals, business and organisations across the community and the county to help achieve such a result. A sincere thank you to everyone who has contributed to Clane Tidy Towns over the years…and especially in the last year…you have all helped Clane to maintain this wonderful standard.
You can read all of this year’s adjudication report for Clane online here, and pasted below.
We hope everyone enjoys the benefits Tidy Towns brings to our community, and we hope we can count on your continued support into the future.
