Clane Community Council has recently inaugurated the ClaneWatch sub-committee to consider any concerns that the local community may have regarding security, and follow-up on them where possible, engaging the appropriate authorities.
ClaneWatch has recently held a public meeting introducing possible Community Alert and Seniors Alert programmes for Clane. ClaneWatch will now work with the local Gardaí, local Residents’ Associations and other stakeholders to review the different options, determine how best to organise and fund such an initiative, and start rolling it out.
